Target English International

We run junior summer courses for English language students aged between 10 - 17. We have students from all over the world. The majority will be Italian, but we also have students from Spain, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Argentina and Cyprus to name a few! Students usually stay for two weeks and take part in a mixed programme of lessons and activities/excursions which are run by Activity Leaders.

We want our students to leave the course with a better understanding of UK culture and the inspiration to become life-long learners of English.

Overview of role:

Job Title: Director of Studies
Line Manager: Centre Manager/Academic Manager
Pay rate: Competitive, dependent on contract type + full-board accommodation and holiday pay

Dates: June to August
Hours: As required (typically 48 hours per week)

 You are a competent teacher with significant experience in the EFL and summer school industry. You will have overall responsibility for the successful implementation and administration of all aspects of the academic programme, which includes managing the academic staff and their performance. In addition to optimising our students’ academic programme and environment, you will also ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times. Management, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential requirements for this position. Our aim is to ensure our students make the most of their academic programme and, as Director of Studies, you will make this happen!
